That is a video of my supra blowing smoke, and I have no idea what it could be. It couldn't be a BHG cause I just drove 200miles and the coolant level hasn't changed. I just changed the oil from my winter oil and I thought that since I was running 5w-30 over the winter that now since it is thinner oil it could be blowing by much more easily. Just looking for what some of you guys might think, I'm kinda at a loss right now.

Did you do some work on the car lately and might have dropped some coulant in the pipes? I'm having the same issue, when I check my pipes some colant dropped there while doing a turbo job... Now I have white puffs once in a while but it started exactly like yours. Might be the turbo going...

It might be the turbo, on that 200mi drive I seem to have gone through a little under 2qts of oil as well. Anyone else think it could be the seals in the turbo?

I know its really ugly, but until now I was in the process of getting a BIC stealth with a ddp. but until I get the smoking issue fixed that has been put on hold. How likely do you guys think it is blow by, bad valve seals, or the seals in the turbo. for each scenario what's your guy's opinion on the route I should go. And there is blue smoke right at the beginning of the video, I was running 5w-30 mobil one synthetic. Is there any way to check the seals on the turbo without taking it apart?

Synthetic oil will burn white. Did you take your intake hose off and check to see if there is any oil inside. If it is the turbo they will be oil inside of the intake pipe.

You sure about that?

I have read some post that synthetic oil will burn white. I had a 2 stroke dirt bike and when I used regular 2 stroke oil in burnt blue but when I went to 2 stroke synthetic it burnt white. I know I am talking about 2 stroke engine here but same theory when gas and oil mixes.

I shouldn't have a BHG, I have a 1.4mm cometic MHG torqued down tight. I'm starting to think its the turbo cause I have seen oil in the intake pipes before, both in my intercooler piping and in my intake pipe. I'm out of town right now, but when I get back I'm going to do a compression check.

WhiteMike, I can't tell if you're making another joke. I haven't been doing anything crazy though, I honestly don't see how it could be a BHG. But I'm going to cover my bases.

No no man, I'm not. I'm just saying, compression test will help determine if the problem is the motor or turbo.

Driftmotion rebuilds yours with the upgrade to 57:1 trim for about $510. They do quality work. You can probably get them to rebuild yours without the upgrade and it will be cheaper but most people prefer the upgrade if you have to rebuild it anyway.

No. If I were you I would give them a call. They are a forum vendor. Look down at the vendor list they will be there. I purchased a fuel pump and a fpr kit from them. The fuel pressure guage they sent me is liquid filled and it was leaking. They was no problem with them sending me a new one. They sent it to me before I sent the other one back. Thumbs up for driftmotion, will do business again.

So I just got back from vacation about 2 minutes ago and as soon as I got back I started to take a few things apart and took pictures. There was a decent amount of oil in all of the intake piping, and the turbo shaft has a bout 1/8" of play, I have a feeling that is too much. Still going to do the compression test tomorrow, with a new turbo arriving on Tuesday. How likely do you think it's just the turbo?
