smoke coming from transmission

hey everyone, i have a 1992 supra turbo automatic and im having a problem where as im driving up a hill i see smoke coming into the interior from the center console vents and by the automatic shifter gear lever. I recently had the transmission replaced because the transmission went out. I thought it was the torque converter but my mechanic said it was the transmission and replaced it. So when i saw the smoke i pulled over and looked to see where it was coming from. It seemed to come from the back of the engine near the transmission. I checked the transmission oil while the car was running and it was full and clean.
Has anyone ever had this problem? Any suggestions will be appreciated. -Brian

from what i hear...dont quote me, but it could be your rear seal or something like that. its a seal thats between the rear of the motor and the front of the tranny.

are you losing any fluids in the car? Like oil or tranny fluid? That would narrow it down.

Check your oil level

There's a vent on the top of the trans case.

If overfull it can puke onto the exhaust and burn.
