Just thought i would show some details and pics of the latest BIC project........1990, 2wd Toyota truck. It will have a swapped in rear sump oilpan 1jz with custom BIC motor mount brackets and trans mount, single IHI C7 turbo, Microtech standalone, 550cc injectors, Precision IC, 3.5" custom BIC DP and exhaust, R154 trans, 9" ford rear end with custom 4 link and much more. The goal is 500+ hp and low 11 second time slips. This exact engine set up has dynoed 550 whp at 24 psi boost previously in Turbo Drifters mk3.

I started off by making custom motor mount brackets, they are very similar to the mk3 brackets, these brackets work with the stock 22R motor mounts or the BIC Poly mounts. I also had to make a custom trans mount as the stock one wouldnt work. I did make jigs from the brackets so these will be available as a bolt in kit for sale very soon. They are of course all bolt on parts (in standard BIC fashion).

Thats going to be a kick ass set up when its running. Going to have lots of traction issues, I did with this setup in my car lol.

Cant wait to see it done and at the track! Good work as always Randy!

Nice base for a 1JZ - These trucks are pretty fast when done right with a JZ engine. One showed up at a track we went to with a 2JZgte .... blew off the motorcycles with a mid 9 sec run. Lots of potential.

Its not my truck....... its a joint project truck with another local shop. I just built the mounts and will be doing all the piping work on it. It will be sporting BIC decals. It will be street/ strip, expect to see it at Mission raceway this summer.

Nice! Definitely make sure you hit up the Yota truck forums and Supracharged.com, I'm sure there will be alot of people interested in mounts. Out of curiosity, is the 1jz as long as the 2jz? I remember seeing that some firewall/core support mods were necessary to get a 2jz in a truck.

Looking at the pics, it almost looks like a front sump aristo pan would work better and possibly allow the engine to sit lower in the chassis? I'm just going by the pics, so I could be completely off-base. I just looks like there's tons of room up front and very little under the pan. It also looks like it will be a PITA to get to the drain bolt.

Great work as always! As dok33 was saying, definately post this up on the truck forums as many of those guys will be interested in those mounts and brackets. JZ powered crawlers are becoming more popular.

whats the point of putting high hp sport engine in ... a TRUCK???
Its no sports car, nor it has handling, nor the looks, nor even the feel of a sport car...

Sorry for mu comment, it looks like an interesting project to work with, but I just dont see any point in doing so with it.

A sleeper that will blow the doors off most of the Supras on here? Seems like a pretty good point to me, especially when by doing this he is expanding his product line and gaining experience. I see a point.

For starters this swap is already gaining popularity with many 4wd toyota drivers that are sick of spending there the whole time in low range just to drive on a beach(18r,22r,3y,4y)some of these crappy performing engines also have poor fuel consumption.I swapped a 7mgte into a 4runner 4wd and it was great for towing, beach work and actually gave me much better fuel consumption, not to mention a lot of fun at the lights when a ricer pulls up beside you and you smoke his ass...:biglaugh:
these mounts will sell to the right crowd, luck with them..

by reading his post and seeing "11 second passes" and "ford 9 inch with a custom 4 link" i dont believe this truck is gonna be built to go around corners. :biglaugh:

id love to get a lil yota truck and put a 1j in it thatd be sick.

I get emails monthly from people who want me to make them engine mounts to put JZ's into toyo trucks... They will sell! Good luck with that.

ViR2... Since when do powerful engines only belong in sports cars? Wiseco7mgt is right on... My gas mileage more than doubled and even my torqueless 1J has more useable power than the 3vz had! Not all of us crawl while off road... Spend 1 minute in my truck as I blaze along at 50-60 in the sand and you'll understand why.:evil2:
