Thanks...
Plans are coming together quickly as the days tick by until this year's Supras Invade Las Vegas event - new information is available on the official SILV06 website located at
http://Vegas.Supras.Org/v06
There are currently 33 MkIIIs (Mark 3s) RSVPd - a bit short of the 60+ we had show up in Vegas last year but there are still several weeks to get RSVPd - remember that RSVPing helps us estimate how many people are planning to come out but it also saves you time in the registration line at the Show-and-Shine. Those that RSVP do not have to fill out the registration form while in line. We just check you in and you are on your way.
Remember that this year we are adding a MkIII Smackdown to the Dyno Challenge. Can anyone knock Tony off his top spot of 822rwhp? Bryan is planning to come out and give it a try. I've also heard rumors that we may finally see a 1J-powered MkIII lay down some serious numbers. Can the MkIII play with the big boys? YES! Don't miss the excitement this year as we showcase up to 7 of the highest horsepower MkIIIs on the planet!
Is anyone interested in setting up a MkIII specific gathering on Friday evening - after the Show-and-Shine? This can be as simple as dinner at one of the many buffets around town or anything. Please contact me if you are interested. The MkII guys have done dinner each of the past several years.
And of course as always I am looking for more ideas for this event. Please contact me directly with any ideas you may have. I cannot guarantee that we will use all of them but we will make our best effort on each an every one.
We are very excited for SILV06 as this is our tenth year. Last year we had 172 Supras in the Show-and-Shine lot (with many still left in the parking garage). Can we break 200 cars in the lot this year? I've also heard rumors that we may see a 7-second quartermile time this year. Do you really want to miss all of this excitement?
