I got my license yesterday morning. So today, I'm hanging out with my friend who happens to own a 95 Civic Ex w/ a Magnagay catback. We decide to go to another friends house, and head out in both cars. On the way there is a nice long road with no hidey holes for cops and just fields on both sides (Central Avenue out by IUPUC for locals). He calls me and tells me to stop, so we line 'em up. I let him honk, being the slower car :biglaugh: . I don't rev up and drop the clutch, just floor it (No need to push the car for a Honda) . I had him by a good four lengths at 50 so I shut down and flashed him. We also did a twenty roll and I stayed in it for a while longer, he was way behind me by 80, I couldn't even offer a guess lol. Now for the really funny part: I was driving an 89 Toyota Celica ST with 280,000 miles on it. :biglaugh:

Edit: I thought I'd throw this in here for those opposed to street racing. This area of road had no traffic, and we ended up going only 25 over the posted, 15 over what normal traffic does.

Celicas are pretty good cars. My wife wants me to buy one and soup it up, but I don't need any more project cars at this particular time.

I'd get an Alltrac, given my druthers. I've got the regular FWD version. It's fun to drive, looks like it'd be easy to work on (not being a Supra, nothing has ever broken on it, so I don't know yet lol). I like the body lines, it'll be sweet if I get it back to what it originally looked like. Damn deer :(. Regardless, great starting car for learning how to drive a stick, built to last, and it looks good to boot. Gas mileage is around 40MPG, too. :)

suprahero-no kidding. Ive got 4 projects and all of them are underway at the same time!

quin-good luck importing an alltrac. My buddy is converting his gt. Its a LOT of work...more than most cars. Inludes: Engine, Tranny, harness, linkage, axles, trans case, rear axle, mounts etc, etc etc. Im just glad he knows what hes doing.

If you heard his car at WOT you'd flash him too. He got really mad lol. You don't have to import Alltracs. They sold them in America, they cost about as much as a decent MkIII Supra. Btw Boost Supras are jokes. Everyone knows Honda is the way to go
