I've done a bit of a search and cant get conclusive info

What are the choices for silicon radiator hoses and which ones seem to be the best fit in terms of shape and the correct ID.

I considered a hard line but I like to be able to squeeze the hose and check my HG status lol

Maybe braided but not sure how well that works out without AN fittings

All respones and input appreciated guys

Sorry cant remember brand there blue, and the exact ones shown on supra sports website under cooling. For the 7m and 2jz. http://www.suprasport.com/Silicone-Radiator-Hose-Kit-For-Toyota-Supra-7MGTE-amp-2JZGTE_p_1597.html I am pretty sure they look exactly like that, and the hose cant bend up behind and around the power steering pump to go to the block. I may have gotten mine from driftmotion durring silv08.

EDIT: Here it is they didnt tell me about the "lower hose is a little short for the application at silv. http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-siliconeradiatorhosekitjza70jza80.php And mine are the samco.

Dan, just as you, I had considered metal piping to replace the OEM rubber radiator hoses. But I'm hesitant because I don't like getting my arm scalded. From research, Samco UK list a 7MGT application for the radiator hose:

Somehow it's quite difficult to source it here in the USA, maybe you'll have a better chance in AUS? - And more colors than just black/blue are optional.

take this with a grain of salt, but from what i recall, the silicone hoses where for the 1jz, but will fit the 7m if you trim them down a bit (primarily needed on the lower hose)

I have personally owned the OBX Racing set in BLue from ebay and no problems/fitment issures. For $55shipped for the top and bottom hoses, not a bad deal. Good luck...

Thanks for the responses so far guys

I had heard that the OBX was a really tight fit on the radiator and thermostat cover fittings, is this true?

The Samco 7M kit sounds nice to me, I like their shade of blue, I will look into this further!
Metaphysico, how did you find the fit of the top hose that you were able to use?

Keep the discussion going

Both engine side and radiator side are snug, not too bad to get on but taking them off is a little tight, have to use my radiator hose hook to remove the hoses. Well dont have to but it helps a lot, a screwdriver will work too. Its just they are "sticky" if you will and dont slide very easy. I am going to use the lower, but I am gonna cut part of the old hose off and use it as an extension. I will try to get a pic of how the lower hose fits, or more properly how it dosent fit.
