HI guys,
Any ideas on how to free up a siezed motor?
Car was sitting for more than a year and Today I tried to crank it and it won't turn eventhough the starter was kicking. New Battery as well.
I tried to turn the engine via the crankshaft and the engine woudl not budge. I was actually able to loosen the crank pulley bolt .... lol
There is no BHG btw.
Anyways, I am sure the engine is fubarred pretty much, but just to free it up, what are your suggestions?
I was thinking of removing the spark plugs and spraying WD40 in there and let it sit and soak well and try turning it again.
It is a Cressida 7m..
Thanks you.

Moe,
You could try using some diesel oil in the spark plug holes and let it soak overnight with the oil drain plug out. Try to crank it by hand after that. When you try to crank it over with the starter make sure you don't have any spark plugs in and put a towel over the top or you will make a mess.

I hear automatic transmission fluid will work really well for that. It has some crazy detergents in there.

Yes, it is the cat's ass for rusted nuts.

Duralube and Slick 50 lied in their ads(and were sued by the FTC). Bi-Tron is the only product that actually does this. Here's the videos of where we tested brand new bottles of duralube and slick 50 and they failed miserably:

We also tested Zmax:http://www.echowavepro.com/SG_MED/SG256_Zmax.wmv

hey, so I take it that would work really well for taking off rusted nuts?

um... wow... iirc someone should make a solvent that you can spray into the cylinders after taking the plugs out

edit: nevermind then :D

Automatic tranny fluid is awesome!!! I use it the remove exhaust manifold bolts, and still have a good bit more for the next time.

i'm with matt, i've heard that pouring ATF in there and then turning it over by hand will get it unseized. when we started up the truck (the power wagon) we poured some 30 weight oil in the cylinders and turned it over like that. thing looked like it was fogging for mosquitoes but eventually came to life.
