The MA70's are considered "widebody" only because there was a narrow-body version of the MKIII not sold in the US that was labeled "GA70", It was the economy version, and came with a little (;)) twin turbo engine, the "1G-GTE".

And for the USDM 89+ tails, you have to get the tails, and the whole center section, including the moulding at the bottom, which can't easily be removed.

Hope i helped a little ;).

kai, the usdm lights will be the same as the jdm set i have to fit. though i think ill have to drill like 1 hole for the boot lock as its in a different place to uk spec.

You will also need to get a chassis code for an import model so as to get the boot release lever and cable from toyota (iirc its about £50) or go find something similar at a scrappy.

i did buy a release cable and lever from an american member of the uk site but the cable is too long and the lever is on the wrong side

its hard to tell kai but if yours is a uk car it is wide body. if its not first registered in like 1988 or 89 or whenever then it may be an import. though imports would probably have the all amber front lenses rather than the half amber/clear lenses. but i think that is an mot fail anyway (not certain) so they may have been changed.

If the body bulges outward at each wheel arch its a wide body. if its straight then its a narrow body
