Will a side mirror from a 90 fit on the 89?

Yes it will. The side mirrors from 86.5-92 all attach without a problem. The only issue between the years is that Toyota changed the wiring connector for the mirrors in 89 (I believe, but I'm not 100% sure). So you may be able to screw on the mirrors from any year, although the wiring harness connector may not be the same.

+ 89 is the same as 90. hence 87-88 and 89+

while the mirror plugs will not hook together, the pins match and it's all functional, so if you can find a way to hold the two plugs together (small ziptie), then you're good to go..

It's what I did for the 89 mirrors on my 86.5..
