Dave Mustaine said it best.

You could mash up Mustaine and slash together and the resultant player would still be no where near as good as Buckethead is.

edit: The exact quote

Dave Mustaine said:
BUCKETHEAD Is Probably Twice As Good A Guitar Player As Me And SLASH Combined

Hell any of the tech guitarist like Satriani, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Tony McAlpine, Vinnie Moore, Shawn Lane, Marty Friedman are good at the "solo" along with improving and a slew of other niceties.

I enjoy the [often multiple] guitar solos [and duos] you hear in many Dragonforce songs.

Roger Waters is quite amazing as well. I did a bit of Pink Floyd listening today, from Animals to Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. You get a good mix.

I also heard some Boston on the way home from the store.

Can't count out "The Nuge". Stranglehold is great.

Link Wray - though he doesn't shred an axe, still a "surfer music" god.

Speaking of oldies, who can play a guitar like Dick Dale?

I don't have any videos but those who know, know.
