I've always heard one walbro was good for up to 500rwhp. I added another one in my tank just for insurance really, in case one of them went bad.

bumping an old thread...

What if you raised the fuel pressure to say about 4 bars on the 370cc's, won't that help with the combustion also since you are now getting a more finer mist of fuel? I wonder how much whp you can squeeze by doing that.

you can get more horsepower out of those injectors by increasing the fuel pressure but is isn't necessarily safe. the injectors may not be spraying equally or the spray pattern may be off. i've seen 430 rwhp with the stock 370s and i think some people might have even made more than that

I think 25% more than stock fuel pressure is the most you can go without messing with the spray pattern.

really? What are you basing your hypothothesis on?

I'm with Jay on this one. I ran 448whp daily on my 440's. That was with 2J cams, 60-1 and stand alone. I hit 527whp on 640cc's, but that was a one time thing

overrunning injectors can lead to inconsistency and failure. Not worth risking. Aaron once told me more than 43-45psi (vacuum line off at idle) on 370s will change the spray pattern and effect operation.

i'm basing that on my previous setups, where Jim Wolf Technology's ECU had their fuel maps based on 4 bars, where injector's the stock fuel pressure was about 3 bars. People including me have run like this for several years without failure. I have also tuned with SAFC's and Adjustable FPR and it seems that after about 25% more fuel pressure than stock, the car does not run as smooth and was very difficult to tune. But this was all with early 90's SR20DET's (Bluebird, 180sx, etc.)
