My Supra currently isn't running, and I have a full 7m swap. Got everything I need to make my car run.

A guy offered a 2jz from an aristo for a trade.

Is it worth it? :1zhelp:

Haha, you guys are great.

Well the 2jzgte is not complete, it's taken apart and needs to be put back together with the gasket kit. It's from an Aristo, so it will need the Supra 2jzgte oil pan. Has USDM turbos. Does not come with a harness, mounts, ect.

My swap is a complete swap, intercooler, pipes, oil cooler, harness, ECU, Mounts, turbo, ect.

well its up to u, if you really want to put back a motor together and source the parts you need then go, but looks like all your getting is a block head and turbos? theres alot more you going to need to get it in and running.

and your giving up your complete running set-up. its hard to call!

rear sump oil pan and pickup is around $530 from Toyota, just so you know...

Holy.. Never really looked into cost of parts. I figured after wiring, random parts, mounts, transmission, bellhousing, I'm pretty much just paying for a fraction of the 2jz swap by this trade. I appreciate everyone's advice. I think I'm going to stick with the 7m-gte. I added it up earlier, If I had the money to do a full 2jz swap on twins, I could have enough to have a field day at the machine shop and a single AEM setup.

Just need this ice storm to pass and dry up, I haven't had a running Supra in a while.

I'm sure anyone would agree though, taking time is the best thing to do (Not skipping steps).

Peace

Buying the 2JZ-GTE engine is the easy/cheap(ish) part. Getting all the other crap you'll need to put it in the car and run it is what will kill your wallet.

Unless you're patient and have more cash to burn, stick with the 7M.
