Shocks

I have GR-2's and EiBach's on my car. Great ride too. As far as the stripped strut mount.....it happened to me on my rf and lr ......it happens and as long as you use the lock washers it should work fine.

I know this thread is old, but I am having the stripped shockmount problem with my KYB shocks...the driver's side nut went on fine, and I was able to tighten it, and it isn't loose, but the passenger side stripped out... I have only done the rears, but do the front shocks do this too? Or is it just the rears that have the problem?

yes it is possible for the front's to do this as well you may be able to fix it by adding washers, worst case you will have to replace the mount.

I had similar problems with all of my KYBs. My mounts were old and worn out. I just got some washers from the hardware store and put them underneath the nut. It has worked fine so far. If you don't do this the shock will clunk.
