Well let me tell you about shipping......
Im guessing you dont know anything about it so let me fill you in, First of all its not cheap expect to pay around $1200. My room mate just did this a few months ago when he shipped his SC300 from cali to south carolina so i learned about the whole process.

Basicly most of the "transporters" are independent drivers, when you contact a company they will tell you the price, the people telling you the price are called "Brokers" and they charge an up front booking fee (usually $150) now after they tell you the price and charge the fee they post your car up on a board for drivers to see/bid on.

Now the problem is that if you go with the bottom of the barrel cheapest bid you will never get your car because the drivers are always gonna pick up the highest paying cars first so they will always pass up on yours if there is another one that pays more, and they are not obligated to take your car. Now once the driver agrees to take it for the amount offered by the broker the broker will call you and let you know when they can pick up and deliver the car and then you pay the driver the remaining balance when he gets there.
The company my room mate used was called Magic carpet i think? they were very helpful and explained the process to him that i just explained to you.

It's Not Important Bro
Buy a one way ticket and make a drive of it. I did that and by the time I was back home, I knew plenty about my new car: How it handled, MPG, dependability, seat time comfort or not. Its just good bonding time bro...... Hell, see the grand canyon!!!!

Is that weird?

the problem with that is it costs twice as much to fly out and drive back, plus about a week off work and you are putting all that unnecessary wear and tear on your car, not to mention the potential for breakdown thousands of miles from home and getting raped on towing/repairs....its cheaper/better/easier to ship it that far.

I bought my Supra and had it shipped from Oregon to Maryland this year for about 1300. The company was called HaulMasters. They made the arrangements with the comapny I bought the car from, picked it up, dropped it off and put it in my driveway for me.
