You can google auto shippers or something like that and they will give you about four or five quotes. It's probably going to cost you from $450.00-900.00 depending on who you go with. Sometimes if you're patient and give them a week or two, they'll do it cheaper. They'll find someone already going that direction and put it on that truck and save you a little moola.

I had my car shipped from MD to TX and it ran me $700 for the 1400 mile trip. Took about 2 weeks for'em to get it to me though.
I use www.dtdtransport.com to give me a rough idea of how much shipping's gonna cost then I look around to see if there's someone with a better price.

unless you are driving through missouri and kansas thats a really boring drive...i shipped my car from denver to dallas for over $1,000 i would just take pics of the whiole car before you ship it and after you receive it and dont sing any papers saying you received the car until you inspect it for damage.
I'd say it's better to fly and drive. I considered shipping my car to Driftmotion for the 1JZ swap because I have a rod knock. The I realized how far out of budget that would put me, and it's only about 500 miles!

My friend from Iowa i had a quote on how much it'd cost to ship his supra down to miami.
It was 1,300 miles and the cheapest quote i got was $500-600.

If the car is in good running condition I say fly in and drive it home. It'll give yall a chance to get acquainted with each other and it would be cheaper probably. Just buy a round trip ticket in case the car is a p.o.s.
I used Dependable Auto Shippers to ship my old car from Socal to Ohio. It was about $650, took 12 days and I was happy with the service. Unless you want to drive, i would definitely recommend shipping it as it wont be much cheaper to drive, if at all, from CA to WI and it could lead into other problems. Renting a Uhaul in the event of a breakdown would be a f-ing PITA IMO.

How hard is it to go into a Uhaul shop and rent a truck 1way? Just a pickup with a trailer should be no hassle. Ive rented plenty of Uhauls and have never had any issues or hassle.

In all honestly, unless you have about 2-3 days to kill, it'll be a bit more convenient for you to have the car shipped and at least that way, you won't have to worry about whether or not the car will break down on you and leave you stranded for a bit which may set you back another day. When shipping, all you really need to worry about is whether or not the trucker picked up the car on schedule or not, then just hope that nothing happened to the car during the shipping process.
