Shimming your hood?

What else do you want?

A pic? Is it that hard to imagine a hood tilted up a little and looking broken?

Like I posted wayyy up there and others posted, the only reason to do it would be to let more heat out but it doesn't do much more than if you take the weather stripping off the back of the hood...

Yes a pic. It's easier to see what it looks like than imagine it. I'm pretty sure a pic was my original request.

Seems you don't like the idea of shimming a hood. Great, if you can't help, don't post.

I want to get rid of some heat, so maybe take out the weather stripping and may shim it. Who knows, it might be worth trying. If I don't like it, it can go back the way it was.

Either way, my car and I'll do what I feel.

hrm, i just removed that rubber strip on the top of the firewall, no shimming, i've no way of telling whether it disrupts airflow (which it may, very well) but i did it to reduce under hood temps in the summer, since it gets furiously hot

Yea, I'm definitely gonna remove that weather strip as long as it doesn't mess with anything.
