my engine builder just told me that im going to have to shim my valves to prevent valve lash. now how the hell do i do this. he is a V8 guy so do i even need to do it?

You go to the dealer and pick up the correct size shim!!! These things are about the size of a nickle and they come in different thicknesses. If one valve is to big and another to small you can just change places.
