so i shimmed the waste gate today 3 shimes behind each bolt on the waste gate and my boost didn't go up at all ? I have a megan downpipe, 935 3" exhaust, and a K&N kit and a shimmed wastegate and its only making 7 pounds am i mssing somthing? The only thing i can think is the wastegate was shimmed before i got the car and i took them off because i wanted to drive the car at stock boost so maybe the wastegate spring is streched or somthing?

If you did indeed install your wastegate shims correctly, depending on the thickness of your shims, you should've seen at least 1-2psi difference.

If not, you've either got a stressed wastegate spring that's seen better days; Or you've simply got worn out 20 year old rubber hoses that just aren't lively enough to handle much more boost. In other words, You could have a small slit/crack in your IC pipes that are keeping you from having any more boost.

Good luck. ;)
