it's not going to damage the tranny, the syncros are used even when the clutch is used

syncros are wear items, deal with it.

yes, it takes longer to shift without it, but he has an injured ankle. When one of the bolts snapped on the fulcrum for the clutch fork on my car (clutch shop didn't know WTF they where doing, hence whey I do all my own work now), I babied the clutch home, only using it to get started then rev matched. You pull it out of gear, then pop it into gear, the RPM will drop, so it's going to be the SAME wear as with the clutch if you're rev matching like you should!

yes syncros wear, so do clutches and brakes, what wears them out faster using them as designed (getting from a to b) or doing laps around a track? clutch-less shifting puts alot of strain on them because it cant speed up or slow down the opposing side freely.

just because you didnt notice an immediate effect doesnt mean your not taking tens of thousands of miles off your tranys lifespan.

it can be done. Ask kwnate about his world famous 1/4 mile pass ;).

hahaha, ya i must admit he knows how to drive a car as good as he can build one.

Its not something i would recommend doing just because your too lazy or in to much pain to use your left foot but its something a GOOD driver should be able to do.

every 5spd car i've ever had i've made sure i was able to drive w/ out the clutch because i've been in that shitty situation where the clutch cable snapped or the slave cylinder finnaly said fuck you.

You can get away with it just fine just quit being lazy..... if your foot hurts that bad you shouldnt be driving.

I agree, if you're on painkillers for it, and get into an accident under the influence of them they charge you as if you where drunk...
