OK fellas, back on topic....:3d_frown:

So I hear those Marlin Crawler guys from that link posted on the first page are also pretty damn good at rebuilding our r154 trannies too. Anyone had experience with them?

Ok, I put in the Crawler bushings along w/ redline MT-90. It is tits!!! I can't do circles in gear any more and shifting is alot smoother/ precise. I do have a quick question though. After you take the dash panel off and get to the big rubber boot there is a rectangle bracket that holds the boot down with four bolts. The bracket tapers to a smaller size on one side. Is the tapered side supposed to go towards the front or back of the car? I re-installed it w/ the tapered side pointing towards the back of the car, now when I am in 2nd/4th and reverse it feels like the boot is trying to pull the shifter out of gear. Any help?

Just switch it around and see if it fixes it, no big deal ;).

Yeah, I took it apart today and the bolt pattern matches either way. Both ways I installed it it still felt like it was trying to pull out of gear. I ended up rotating the rubber boot 180 deg. around the shifter it self and it feels better. Now the damn ashtray doesn't fit in all the way...:3d_frown: Such is life I guess. Small price to pay compared to the improvements.

Sl1dewaysSupra, I'd suggest you go back and look at your last post and then mine. Me Lighten up??? You should preach your own words. I was not being harsh whatsoever, unlike you. Your response to the guy posting the question and then me now shows alot about you and being critical. Like I said, the guy who posted the question got his point across pretty darn good with pretty decent grammar.

Did you come into this thread just to look for a fight or something?
What an assclown.
Anyways, I'm in dire need of new bushings also, I may give the MarlinCrawlers a try.

oh good god! now we have a spelling policeman? Though his grammar was not perfect, he got his point across pretty darn well. (BTW, YOU spelled PUNCUATION incorrectly, try PUNCTUATION)

Actually, I'm the official spelling and grammar policeman here on Supramania.

He took the advice and he seemed to appreciate it. I only wish more people would care about their writing on the internet. Such is life, but there's no need to bash constructive criticism; he even corrected the original posters message for him to illustrate how it could have been improved.

I installed the Marlins w/ no problems and it has been the best $16 I have spent other than gas!! A must for any Supra with stock bushings and seats. (I ordered both the seat and bushing.) Then I drained all the old tranny fluid and put in Redline, between my new power steering pressure hose, alignment and bushings it feels like a completly different(SP?) car. In a good way, feels more Supra-ish now and less slopy tank like.

Ok, I ordered both the seat and bushing from Marlin.
Ill switch in Redline (as I haven't done it yet) when they get here, and now that I have new tires I'll align the car.
Can't wait to see the difference.
