My center bearing went out so its time for an upgrade. I hear alot of good reviews from shaftmasters 1-piece aluminum driveshaft but i also hear alot of stories about aluminum driveshaft's snapping at the track. Anybody ever snapped an aluminum drieshaft from shaftmasters? Will launching with slicks provide too much stress on the driveshaft? I just really wanna see if anybody has ever snapped one of these be4

al drives would be great for road raceing not so much for drag....but shaft masters backs there drive shafts and swear by them and they do say for off road use only so if you break it I'm sure they will make it right somehow.

I dont think an N/A supra could ever create enough torque to snap one.... maybe im wrong? but shaftmasters is FTW.

lol nah im sure ur right but im droppin in a built 7mgte when the last lil bots of parts i ordered arrived. But im still staying with the w58 for now and prolly going to only be pushing around the limit of the w58 so maybe 380-400. I may consider taking the car to the track to see what she runs down the 1/4 but dont want to snap a driveshaft and be stranded in the process.

I highly doubt you will snap it even with slicks...even if you do be glad you snap a $360 part and not a $1000 rearend...its always good to have a weak link that is affordable to save from breaking more expensive and harder to repair parts!

So what kinda gains can you expect from this? I mean I know we're not talking AMAZING but are they actually noticeable?
