so today some older fellow from my school told me that at one point when he had a turbo car he drilled and tapped the intake and added another fuel injector. has anybody ever heard of this?:nono:

Yep...saw one with TWO additional injectors on the 3000 Pipe. You have to have a controller though...HKS Rubic? I think :dunno:

AIC is waaaay old school and ridiculously unpredictable.
It's like adding a small carburetor in the intake tract.... there are more intelligent and efficient ways around that nowadays!

Yeah, the guys car I saw it on was veerrry old school...had his '89 since it was new. He's a master mechanic; loves to adjust and fiddle with that stuff. Knows what he's talking about though...he's the only guy I'll let touch my motor besides me of course :naughty:

aic is actually a great way to turbocharge na cars or add the needed fuel to turbocharge cars. Yes, you can buy a vpc for $500 or map ecu and new injectors for $350, or you can buy aic for $300 + 2 720 injectors for $150 and do the same thing.
On na cars, the car drives exactly like an na, but when there is boost, the aic will add the needed fuel. It fixes a lot of the drivability problems that happens when you turbocharge an na with big injectors.

Ya, except for the fact that he has (I think) 2 x 720cc injectors running to a separate fuel pump and fuel cell, holding C16 where the spare tire used to be.
