I'm guessing he was going to the dump to drop that stuff off, weighed in on the way in & out.

Of course everyone on here says to get the Supra, this is SupraMania.com!!!
That being said, I am just as biased, get the Supra, it's an amazing car with enormous potential, good looks, and it's unique! Alot of people around here don't even realize it's a fast car until you pass them =P

More weight when scraping for money= more $. Hell all you have to do is look at how much an SRT-4 costs new, take 20K and buy a supra, dump the leftover money into the car, and what do you get? A very reliable supra that will smoke pretty much any person that wants to race you.
The supra doesn't cost nearly as much as some of your friends cars i bet. Plus the parts for our car are cheaper than thiers for the most part. Look at it this way: How much did you friends spend on thier cars and the mods? How much power and how fast are they? Take a supra, put about the same amount in it as your friends did thiers (the SRT-4 would be a good comparison here) and you should be happily surpised.

very true..... modding cars nowa days is all $$$ and bolt ons... you dont see evos and wrx making their own parts, tuning their cars themselves and getting there hands dirty..... all they do is buy bolt on turbo's, already fabbed ic pipes all that crap, the supra community has gotten very large and we rely on eachother for a lot people make one off parts, etc. by the way 9 out of 10 mags even now days has a supra on the cover, i dont see many srt4's rockin cover shots.

Put $20,000 in an MKIII, and you can run it backwards against the SRT-4

That's the beauty of the MKIII..........With $3000-4000, you can make these guys look silly with their brand new cars, which , by the way, have no useable warranty if they can stay close to you. Upgrades VOID warranties! A stock SRT-4 is quick, but you can run with him. I took one out at the track the only time i have ever raced one.

My car has leather interior, a removeable top, and every option most cars come with today come with today. I could buy 4-5 just like it for the cost of an SRT-4.

It's kinda sad that these ppl spending big money on cars like evos and SRT-4 WRX's etc., buying all kinda boltons and stuff, and going to a dyno and having someone make it run right for them. You could just spend shit loads less on the supra and get better results, not to mention falling in love with just about everything supra-wise and learning lots about how the car works in the process.

For starters, a Supra can be had for much less than an SRT-4 or a DSM, and they look way nicer than those crackerjack toys

And like everyone else has noted, it doesnt take much work to leave them in the dust...not to mention your Toyota will still be hauling @#$ well after the dodge kicks the bucket

Supra's turn heads wherever they go as there arent that many of them on the road, where as DSM's and SRT's are a dime a dozen (here anyway)

And a Supra doesnt have a rubbermaid interior or that weezey exhaust note like the SRT

haha real funny fonzie.......

but seriously, i fully agree i didn't win every auto competition i ever went to by paying someone else to work on my car, and i didn't learn by reading books. 90% of crap is from working on cars and learning as you go..... all the new cars purely define rice, when someone tells me they arent ready to upgrade their turbo because they will have to "get it tuned." they need to pull their head out their ass, i enjoy this forum because i can talk to other intelligent people, if i go on my local street racing forum all i hear is how a crx with a gsr swap is the fastest thing on the plannet..... i was driving last week infact and a srt pulled up behind me and started revving to high hell, the guy in the truck next to me rolls down his window laughing and says "is that a weed wacker behind you?" it was hilarious. Supra's get respect.... even from most domestic guys

Ditto on all acounts. I think many of these ppl that buy an expensive car that is way underpowered for the price they paid just want something they think hauls ass out of the box. That way they don't have to get thier hands dirty messing with the car. A word for the wise: you WILL have some issues with the supra if you buy it, but with all of us here, we'll be able to help you get those straightened out.

Funny thing about the SRT-4 is that you can get the most highest package model have leather sunroof and 6 disk changer and still have roll down windows in the back.

I dunno why but that just bothers me.

Although...My record to date is 11-1 with SRT4's. Unfortunately, I got beat by one...ONE. It was from a roll and he sort of ran like an 11.1 or something, so...Yeah, I got beat by a NEON. :(

I don't care though...If it's quick, it's got my respect.

.....Fuggin' POS Neons. :icon_conf
