any idea's on their piston rings? (Sealed Power Chromies) piston rings part number E491KC I talked to some old school BBC and SBC guys who used these rings in various applications with nothing but good things to say about them, any thoughts or info on them with a 7m?

I used a set of gapless rings on my 7mge way back in like '96.
Didn't have any problems with them, but I didn't notice any benefit when I installed them, either.

Used the same rings in my 7MGE rebuild, same part # from Rockauto. They are hard rings, yes. I did a compression test after they were seated and got pretty consistent numbers across all six cylinders, from 185-190psi on the high end. So far so good, but I've only got a couple hundred miles on the fresh engine.
