I pulled out my charcoal can, and now i got hoses laying around with screws in them, I read on DM that doing just that can cause heat building in the no 6. cyl, so i would like to find out what all i really need to do to correct this. Putting the charcoal can back in isnt really a option, cause i got no clue where its at.

hope you have a vented gas cap or else your going to have extremely high pressure in the tank from removing the cc. egr goes from the left rear of the engine and goes to the left rear of the manifold. it should stay there or else you will have higher combustion temps on no.6.

Hmm, does the charcoal can have nothing to do with the egr. I thought it cleaned exhaust gasses for the recirculation.

No the charcoal can has nothing to do with the EGR. It simply runs evaporated gas fumes from your fuel tank to your intake.

The egr runs exhaust gasses back into your intake. A VERY good thing on stock ecu.

Both are there for a reason, don't mess with them, your engine and fuel pump like them very much.
