sc300 gte oil pan on a 1jz in a mk3???? does it work???

well recently i was jack up my supra and my buddy thought it would be fine to sit in it and he let the hand brake off and cause it to come off the k member and go into the oil pan so it totally fucked my oil pan so now i need a new one and i looked on dm and they want 510 for a new on and i found a guy with a sc300 that had an add in a classifieds and he wants 400 for the whole engine, so i was wondering if the sc300 has a front or rear sump oil pan. cause i cant figure out which it has

the the sc300 comes with a rear sump and will fit the 1jz motor if you pick up a whole new setup can i get the upper pan and pickup

That's what I need cause mine shattered, well I found a complete sc300 n/a 2jz for 375 but it has 147k on it, is that a good price

Yeah not bad at all and your gonna spend about the same amount on the pan assembly alone
..I would check the pan before u purchase tho I just bought a SC motor expecting it to come with a rear sump but the owner had changed the pan out with an aristo front sump so I'm on the hunt again.

Which part of the oil pan do you need? Black bottom piece? I purchased one brand new from Toyota for $120 or so, if it went through to the black piece you might as well take the pan off now and check to see if you are going to need a new pickup and baffle which you most likely will... both of those aren't expensive either. Total it should be about 200... i doubt you will need the top part.

If you need top and bottom part + pickup and baffle just buy it new, you don't have to get it from DM check the dealer directly.

If you have a drill tap and die set i say go with SC300 if not just get an oem pan new or used if you can find to save you the cost of drilling and tapping the oil pan as its only 110 bucks more and its direct bolt on no modification needed.

well i shattered the upper and my lower came all dented up so i just wanna get both, im just getting the sc 2j and gonna ptry to part it out and make a little cash back i hope, i just hate that im gonna drop my k member and not have the cash to replace my stock motor mounts and my wacked rack

dont hang out with that friend when youre working on cars again.
you should check local junkyards, i always see a bunch of sc300s there
