hey all,

the main pulley off the crankshaft fell off, killing power to alternator, water pump, power steering, etc. unfortunately, the bolt holding it in is lost and i need a replacement asap, but i need to know the size of the bolt. if any1 can help, it would b greatly appreciated. (7mgte '87)

I agree, get it from the dealer. Use high strength threadlocker and make sure that puppy is torqued to spec. That it wasn't is probably why it came out to begin with. Check the crankshaft keyway too. If it's any consulation you aren't the first guy to have this happen.

^ yep...better look over the dampner and crank real close. I'd get a new key too. Toyota dampeners are not very tight on the crank. I've always used 2 large prybars to pop them off when needed. Never needed a puller tool.
