See Darrel.

BTW, I won't be able to come over on Tuesday afternoon. Taking the family to the movies after work. I can make it over tomorrow after work, Weds., or any other day that week. Let me know when you'll be available.

Wednesday is fine. I might be what i feel is done with sanding by then. I need your advice on sanding around the moldings. Should i remove them or get as close as i can?

Dammit.......i snapped the rear window trim!!!! The snaps were so brittle they just broke. Anyone know where to find those snap/brackets? They are the ones that hold the rear side window trim pieces.

I wanted to have a little meet/cruise this weekend but it looks like there's thundershowers in the forecast. It was going to be this Saturday @ 11:00am. Plus I have to hunt down an exhaust leak on my car again.
Where did you get an alignment, cause Miguel needed to know so he could get his done. BTW Miguel, sorry I haven't called. Been pretty busy lately. I'll get in touch with you soon.

Nice sterlingae! I've been following your build thread. That is an aggressive stance on that car. Get a youtube vid up with it running and give us a taste on how it sounds...maybe a drive by (as us south east siders hit the dirt).

My car is a bit low as well so ill probably be taking 2x4s as well. Nobody in San Antonio seems to want to touch the car, I was thinking of maybe calling Timmy's new Speed shop to see if they do alignments.

Your in luck Rufus there's a meet/cruise brewing that seems to be tailored just for you. It will be going through the Twisted Sisters!! The cruise meeting spot will be on 3/30/2013 in Kerrville Tx and have a few stopping points along the way to let the cars cool off and for some nice pics. The same person that organized the cruise in December is planning this one, so it should be another great turnout. It will once again be all makes and models; I will post more details as they come out so hopefully those of us that are up and running can make it!! :x:

So my build is done have a brand new ct26 57 trim and it blew before it got out of the drive way, everything was good oil pressure, temp all the above. So I'm quite frustrated with only running 10 to 12 boost and the turbo blows out??? So what's a good quality turbo that's not gonna make me go broke and still be small enough for quick spool and capable of running up to 20lbs of boost?

Where did you get the 57trim from? That's sad it blew that fast. Was it primed correctly?

Priming a new turbo basically means that you get oil flowing through the turbo's bearings before the actual start up so that the bearings don't run dry. What most people do is simply remove the EFI fuse (so the car doesnt start) and crank the car while the banjo bolt for the return drain plug is loose so you can confirm that there is oil flow going throught the bearings or (if you dont have anyone to help you)crank the car until the oil pressure guage moves up and check for oil leaks.

There are very few people that have found Ebay turbos to be reliable. I got screwed myself with an Ebay turbo for $650. I though it was a reputable seller since he had his own company off of Florida(Miketurbo Inc.) and had good reviews. The turbo was also a CT-26 but a 60-1 and mine lasted me 3 months before the shaft split and the wheel seized. I let him know of the issue and he asked me to ship it back to him and that if it was a defect he would fix it and send it back at no cost so i did. He of course didnt find any defects with the turbo and offered to do rebuild for $150 shipped. Since it was already there and the price was cheap i went ahead and agreed to it. This time around the turbo lasted 6 months before seizing up again. I didnt bother calling him back to complain and decided to make the investment with a BOSS series turbo from Suprasport and havent looked back.
