DO NOT USE IT! I used it on mine, and my friend used it on his, (at the same time, we both were working on our supras at the same time) Both of our MAFs took a shit. Plus, i have heard from others not to use it.

It probably works just find on MAFs. Unfortunately for all of you that tried it on your Supra, we run AFMs, which is an entirely different animal.

correct. those are for hot wire sensors, not kv sensors.

only thing ive ever heard of working on ours (and only used as a last resort to clean dead electronics) was negative film cleaner.

theres really no point in cleaning your AFM. there is no critical exposed electronic-ery in there. that dangly duodenum-looking thing is just a vortex generator. all the sensative electronics are in the black housing on the OUTSIDE of the AFM. the vortex generator is sealed from the outside elements by an o-ring. for all "intensive purposes", the inside of the AFM should be sealed from the Outside of the AFM.

dont worry about it unless it looks like the side of the engine block in a 1974 Dodge Dart. IE: caked in grease and grime.

you can CAREFULLY wipe off the gunk on the vortex generator (remove the electronics, it makes it easier), and then clean the hell out of the housing with thme removed...

don't get anything in the sensor holes...

by carefully, he means "virtually no touching allowed". attached to the top of the vortex generator, INSIDE of the electronics housing, Hopefully sealed off from the elements, is a mirror. if you put too much pressure on the generator, you could and probably will, fuck up the alignment of the mirror in relation to the optical emitter and receiver. which means... the emitter will probably still shoot photons at the mirror but the receiver probably wont see shit... and youll be Boned.
