You seriously need to change your mind. When you bought that car, god gave you a gift. You sell that car its like kicking him in the nuts with a steel toe boot. You wont even get to spend the money you get from it because your gonna get drilled with a bolt of lightning the second you sign the title.

It's just a car...

I have to agree with this.... If you can't drive it it' not worth having sitting around and getting aged. But then again I'd pay to have it shipped here. For me, having a Turbo-A would be like having christmas morning 365 days a year.

Curiousity: exactly how many of the 500 are actually still running around? Anyone know?

edit: i dont mean to add insult to injury and sorry if what i have typed is inconsiderate.. but yeah. dang.

I think you really should take a step back and think about this!! Rod knock (especially a quiet and in begining stages" can be fixed pretty cheap! Rod knock usually can be cured without doing a full rebuild! You have a very very rare official turbo A mkiii which WILL be a car worth alot of money in the future!!! Don't be one of them old men who regrets selling a car when they are young cause 30 years later it's worth $100,000+!

I think this is a bad idea selling the car...I don't know your situation but I'm willing to bet you can have the crank re-cut and polished with new bearings for less that $300 American...you'll have to do the hard work but it's worth keeping the car! Fuck I'd just go pull a crank from a Cressida at a junkyard!

In my opinion you aren't thinking about the big picture here!

well where iam at to have the crank done it will cost u 35 dlls the hole set of bearings 55 dlls labor on that 80 dlls or swap another motor about 150 dlls at the most thats sounds cheap oh well that place is tijuana mexico right across of the sandiego Ca border to bad this guy its so far

Throw a set of bearings in it, i had a horrible knock that was cured with a crank polish and set of bearings. If its so slight a set of bearings would most likely fix it. Wouldn't even need to totally remove the engine, just pull the pan and spin out the old bearings and put spin in the new. Fixed for ~50 bucks and a few hours labor.

Could also be valves or Injectors, find out for sure what it is before you drop the price or sell at all.
