I was talking to Ken of Shineautoproject today about some crazy rear fender pulling on my car, but then he asked, why not just do the S2 fenders and suggested a group buy.

He mentioned that he may be able to sell it for less than half of S2's price.

*edit on sentence above*: Ken's price will be $400 to $500 + shipping for a pair

If this group buy was to talk place now, who would be seriously interested? If there is adequate serious interest, I will talk to Ken more about it, get the group buy moderator approved, and coordinate it. Please put your name on the list if you're seriously interested. (Hint: Serious. We're not messing around here. :bigthumb: ) Before Ken will consider purchasing the S2 fenders, he wants an indication that he'll have at least 10 serious potential buyers.

Originally, I only had intent for the rear fenders. Due to inquiries from Supramania members, let's see the interest for the front as well.

Please put your name down if you are interested.

I had to jump in on this since it'd be a bit cheaper then what I can get them for. You just opened +0 to -30 offset for me hahahah! I think I can fit 13 wide if this goes through. I can afford those 18x13 -20 offset work meister S1!!!!!!!

The S2 rear fender makes the rear 2" wider.

I plan on getting my HREs widened, that's why I want these fenders. I was just going for 12"s. Since you're considering 13"s -20, you may have to install the S2 fenders and then do a pull. :aigo:

FYI.... to fully utilize these fenders with wide wheels and tires you will have to do some serious cutting of the stock fender opening and inner fender to fit big wheels at a lowered ride height. Then fab up a way to close up the gap with sheet metal or fiberglass. I just finnished putting the Kaze rear fenders on a mk3 and had to trim about 2-3" of the stock fender opening to fit the 18x11" wheels with -7mm offset and 295/30 tires

what is the price from s2?

S2's price is approximately $600 for a pair, before shipping. If you do EMS shipping, it will probably be $300 - $500. If you do freight shipping, it would probably be $200 - $400, and who knows when you could get a product using freight shipping. Like I mentioned on my first post, Shine's price will probably be $400 to $500 + shipping.

when will it be ready
There's no definite answer for this. There are many factors involved, like:

- how long will S2 take to have the part ready for delivery
- once bought from S2, when will the shipping container, that Ken will use, leave Japan
- once the part arrives at Shine, Ken has to prioritize this groupbuy with his other projects

I'll figure figure out the timeline of this project with Shine, but first I wanna see if this group buy is gonna have serious interest, then we'll go from there.

If I were to do body work soon I would be in. Any plans on fronts?

If there is enough interest, Shine will do the fronts as well. I'll modify my original post to reflect the fronts.

He's right. Considering the rear fenders takes commitment to permanently altering your car.
