Thanks man, are you going 2j?

No I wish, I have a JZA70 1jz swap going into mine.

What did you use to clean your bay? I just pulled my engine and mine is filthy. Good luck with that wiring :aigo:

Lol, Thanks. Once you start sitting down and looking at pinouts it's not that bad.

I used soap and water. Then hit it with some rubbing compound.

Well I've done all I can do for now with the harness. I'll have to drop the engine in in order to see how much wire I will need for the body harness plugs. I have tore down the hot side, have to get the block cleaned up and painted, before I slap the new gaskets on. I'm having a hell of a time getting the crank pulley off. Its not in the car so it's even harder.

Pic of the cleaned up harness.

Went shopping and ordered from Toyota a water pump, oil pump, bell housing, gasket set. Also have a fidanza flywheel and act xtreme clutch kit coming new injector and coil pack clips. Should be all I need to get the engine in the car. Off to the hardware store to buy a 4ft pipe to hopefully break that crank pulley loose.

Freaking amazing what a 4ft pipe can do! I held the engine with one hand and pushed down on the pipe with the other. It came right off in seconds.

I tore down, and cleaned up my engine today. I ran into one problem I can't remove my oil pump. Do i have to remove my oil pan in order to remove my oil pump?

Here are some pics.

Yeah, but its still on the pallet. My bro in law just dropped his built 7m in his 88 today, and should be bringing the stand and hoist in the next couple of days.

My bro in law brought the engine stand ove,r and I got busy. I removed the oil pump and oil pan. The inside of the engine looks good. no metal shavings found. I'm happy about that because it seems like every seal or gasket was leaking, and one of the turbos was blow. Now just have to wait for my parts to come in. I'm waiting on the following parts, Act xtreme 6 puck clutch kit, fidanza light weight flywheel, OIl pump, water pump, bellhousing, and gasket set. \

Here are some pics of the inside of the engine.

Well I worked on her all day Saturday, got quit a bit done. I soda blasted, and cleaned a lot of parts. Also put both cams, front and rear seals on. A long with the oil pan, oil pump and water pump. Wanted to work on it Sunday but my freaking a/c in the house went out. To top it off it was one of the hottest days of the year 107 degrees. I wasn't about to get in the garage.

I also installed 6 new injector clips and also repaired and rewire all 6 coil pack clips. Here are some pics of my progress.

Done most of what I can, I really need my timing belt to do any more on the engine. Time to turn to getting the car ready for the engine.
