so this car has been sitting for a couple months...it feels like its only running on 3 cylinders...

one by one i take out the plug wires while the car is running and the engine runs worse each time....so its sparking

what i did find is that the #5 and 6 plugs were soaked with fuel..i could smell fuel in the back exhaust too...

could it just be barely sparking? whats your opinions. some mice made a nest and knawed on the #5 wire, but it only chews some rubber off...not down to the internal..i dont think that'll effect..would it?

I would recheck the connections to the coils(spark plug wires and the four wires that go to the engine wiring harness from the coils), and the Cps. Also you can test the resistance in the coils with a Digital Multi Meter to see if their good or not and I think maybe you should replace the plugs and wires if they look old.

Do you have any codes?

no codes and i will get the MM out tomorrow and test the resistance. i checked the connection quite a few times...and like i said...if i would unplug them...it would drastically change the engine from sluggish to more sluggish.

plug wires were recently replaced.

i dont think the cps would effect the power of spark that the spark plug delivers...i think it controls when it fires and how it fires...right?
