Ruger 10-22, what's a fair price these days?

Old bump I know but now that this craziness is dying down, I'm seeing them here in TN go for around $300 new...used you can get them from 200-275...
I'd say $150-200 (used)
If you're gonna go that route though... you may as well get an air gun. that's what I shoot most of the time. they're cheap as dirt to shoot... the one I have shoots just a hair under the speed of sound... I guess it comes down to preference though. I like my firearms to pack a wallop. I've shot a 10/22 and it's a good lil .22, but .22lr just isn't for me.

Thanks for all the input guys, that's easily within range for an addition to the collection. I have a couple other guns that pack enough punch (Mossberg 500 and Remington 1911 R1), but I am more looking for something that I could possibly use for longer ranges. May end up with a bolt action for that, but at this price, I could pick one of these up too. 
IIRC .22lr doesn't have that great of range... it's moderate, but are you actually trying to do mid-range varmint hunting? it's useable for that, but still... I've seen some varmints shrug off .22lr rounds

I just bought a .17hmr savage and it's good out to about 150 yards. I hunt squirel and rabbit with my .22lr and I think I will soon be using the 17 hmr for that as it's accurate as hell.

that's what I would recommend personally (eating what you kill) but then again, when you own a farm, and the blue jays are demolishing your walnut trees (squirrels too) and the crows are wrecking your corn crops... foxes eating all your chickens... most people don't take too kindly to that.
