I just bought a .17hmr savage and it's good out to about 150 yards. I hunt squirel and rabbit with my .22lr and I think I will soon be using the 17 hmr for that as it's accurate as hell.
Sounds fun. Mostly looking for accuracy at distances I won't have to have a super expensive scope to hit. Not really into varmint hunting, I was raised that you eat what you kill.Supracentral;1931670 said:I have a savage .17HMR as well. Wicked little caliber - it's like shooting a laser beam. Can shoot the nuts off a fly at 100yds with that thing.
