rubber molding on quarter windows

ok so first off i need to know how to remove the rubber molding on the inside of the rear quarter windows.????
the reason is i went to get a quote on getting the rear three windows tinted and he said its going to cost more because he has to remove the molding to tint it. is this correct? if it is i would like to do it myself and save a few bucks. thanks to all.

they don't "have" to remove the molding to tint the quarter windows but it will make the tint look cleaner

Either way, that's a part of their job. All of the tint places I know only charge extra for special kinds of tints or if you're getting a large vehicle like a full-size SUV done.

ohh ok i see well i may drive back up there tomorow there shop is just around the corner so... idk. a friend of my dads quoted him 125 for the hatch window and the other guys want 225 for all three rear windows. so we will see what happens thanks for the info though.

Np, I was going to say that you should get quote from other places and see what they say. Also, the places I know all offer a lifetime guarantee. Any Bubbles or peeling or anything, they rip it out and do it over.

well the place that wants 225 is giveing me a lifetime warenty. the guy who wants 125 for just the big hatch window is not giving me a warenty. so... im trying to find other places in my area. my parents have delt with the 225 guy alot in the past thats why i was leaning towards them.

Lol, i got my whole car done for $130. No removing moulding, but they usually don't tint over the black dots anyway so they really don't need to.

$225 sounds a little high. maybe in your area its not. got all my windows done (except windshield) for $175 with lifetime warranty. they tinted over my matrices (black dots). when they do this, sometimes the tint sticks to them but mostly not. when it doesnt stick you will see white around the dots

yeah i really do have to do some more looking i think im gonna put it on hold and get the front bumber and the trim repainted first im geting that done for 125 :biglaugh: lol hell of a price.
