Wow everyone, I can't thank you enough for the comments, and I'm so honored to be selected! And thank you to cooleeze for sponsoring the super sweet prize!
I truly love this car, and yes it is the third supra I've owned. The first was an 86.5NA my parents gave to me when I turned 16 and I haven't ever looked back. Now that I have the dragon and it isn't a daily driver I can baby the car as it deserves.
Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate the comments. Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't also thank Rob Carlile, original owner of this car and someone many of you may be familiar with. Rob was the originator, along with Reg Reimer of the Lexus/550 upgrade for the MKIII. I had for years gone to his website and admired this car, and dreamed of making my then red 91T just like his. Years later, when I saw he listed it for sale when I completely and totally randomly went to autotrader one day to look at what supras were for sale I saw this one and owned it within the hour. I couldn't believe that I had just bought the car I had for so long admired. However, the car had been sitting for years without being driven, as Rob could no longer easily get in or out due to health problems, but he just couldn't bring himself to sell it, so she was a little neglected, especially the paint, it was all oxidized and etched to hell, but still a shining example of doing modifications right the first time. But he finally realized he would probably never again drive the car and decided to sell to a 'qualified' owner that would take care of it. So I cannot take credit for the core work that went into this car. But I have put some SERIOUS effort and some SERIOUS time (including at least 100 man hours painstakingly restoring the paint) and some SERIOUS money into this car to restore her to former glory and then some. I couldn't be happier with the results, and I'm so proud that you guys appreciate the car as well.
Thanks again,
Jeff
