RIDE OF THE MONTH
Naturally Aspirated Month
Next Month September: Open for everyone

RULES

1) Users may submit ONE(1) MK3 per every TWO(2) months.

2) Users MUST submit pertinent information with at least TWO HIGH RESOLUTION pictures. Information should at the LEAST include YEAR, COLOR, TRIM, MODIFICATIONS, RESTORATIONS, ETC. Anything extra will simply be icing on the cake. Please submit your car to rotm@bobiseverywhere.com. Try to keep things well organized as well.

(There now is a form to download fill out and send back with your pictures to make things easy for every one review and applying.)

3) We are looking for OVERALL car. Not neccessarily the fastest or prettiest. IE: A completely stock but well maintained car would most likely be picked over a neglected car with 500hp. We will be selecting cars that BEST represent this community.

4) This will be a MONTHLY thing.

5) Winner will receive:

* One of the submitted high resolution pictures in the header of the website in rotating order.
* A gift certificate to a car related sponsor store or a car related part or accessory.
* A sticky in the General Section showing off the car for the month with any and all pics video and information provided to us.

6) After the month is over the stickied thread will be placed in an Archive for "ROTM" Members.

7) No car can win more then once in a TWELVE(12) month period. That means 12 months 12 different cars.

Submit your Ride today.

Dead line for August is the 26th

ROTM August has been brough to you by:

JSC Speed specializes in import turbo performance. Opening its doors in 2001, JSC Speed has specialized in the MK3 Supra since the beginning and continues to do so, both distributing and retailing quality performance brands.

This Months Prize is a Beautiful set of Stainless steel braided brake lines. Cause we all know how much we need that stopping power....:biglaugh:

The Prize will be either a set of Goodride Lines or Techna Fit

Stainless steel brake lines are a great way to improve the performance and safety of your MK3 Supra. Essentially, the stainess steel design resists the balooning associated with OEM rubber lines and are more resistant to puncturing and collapsing.
Upgrading to stainless steel lines will improve pedal feel and make braking more responsive and firm. We reccomend using Motul RBF600 brake fluid in conjunction with the stainless lines.

I thought the NA month was a joke, wtf!! Reading over the rules and all, it states

"3) We are looking for OVERALL car. Not neccessarily the fastest or prettiest. IE: A completely stock but well maintained car would most likely be picked over a neglected car with 500hp. We will be selecting cars that BEST represent this community."

With that being said NA should have no problem competing so long as they look good and are well cared for :dunno: If I had an NA I'd be insulted, its like the ROTM special olympics style. Are NA's allowed to enter the 11 other months of the year? I'm not saying NA's can't be nice, they're identical on the surface. You want to select the cars that best represent this community then there should be no restrictions on entry. If you want a NA to win ROTM just pick one that fits the criteria.

The way this was set up was to not just focus on Hp. There are many NA's on here that are much better looking then some of the turbos. I'd rather see these NA's represent what a nice mk3 can be then some beat turbo. I just don't think you need a special month thats all. I think it puts NA's on an overall lower level.

If I had a nice NA, I'd take it as an insult thats all. Whomever wins this month should be able to win in any other month, unless all the NA's are piles of crap and I know thats not the case.

Call me what you will, I'm gonna have to agree with kwnate. Are turbos superior to NA's? (We all know that they are but for the sake of conversation...) Is August a pity offering or something?

I think we need an independent adjudicator...a STIG.

I agree with you guys, and you're right, N/A's should win if they're clean and well maintained, unfortunately if you haven't noticed, not one has won so far, and I know there are some clean ones out there. Turbos are in another league IMO, as far as the forums go, and I know the majority of the members on here are turbo, so why not give us a chance?

Come on guys I want to see an awesome car take my crown. I have really enjoyed the kind words from everyone and hate to give up the title, but I wish everyone could win at least once. I know that sounds gay, but if you win, you'll know what I'm talking about............lol and Good luck.

How many months has there been? 4? It's all up to the few that are judging. Maybe the cars that won where just better then the NA's that entered, or maybe NA's aren't entering.

Lets just say Jt2ma71 (Ron entered) There is no car that could touch it... The cars that have won thus far are all exceptionally nice cars. Nobody is stopping NA guys from putting on a spoiler, nice wheels and suspension... Thats all it takes to have something that stands out. If you can't afford these things to make your car unique then maybe your car isn't ready for ROTM. I just think the nicest car overall that enters should win.

How about next month you can only enter if your car has maroon interior.
