well.... I am now in need of a discontinued part. I need the high pressure (small) liquid line that runs from the firewall to to nose of the car.

Anyone got one? Has to be 89+ too, as they are different.

R12 is between $8~$10/oz retail. You can do the math from there.

If the valve has been replaced by recall it will be registered with toyota. i had to replace mine. i pulled the parts myself and had the evaporator core tested then i reinstalled. about three years later i gave toyota my reciepts for the parts and work i had to pay for that i did not do and they cut me a check. It was only about $162 IFRC because i did the work so they were better off than doing it themselves. this was about 8 to ten years ago.

the valve had an aluminum piston in it that would corrode and lock up. or did they replace to an aluminum piston one.

Frankly, I think instead of rotflyao you should be grateful you have such an honest dealership near you, that is so willing to accomodate you, and possible even give them a plug, instead of mocking them for helping you.

Maybe this type of ungratefulness is part of the reason dealerships tend to have a fuck-you attitude. Count your lucky stars this one doesn't.

I know everyone there.... If I didn't know them, they would have been just as quick to screw me as any other dealership.

But, I got my car back now, the air works excellent.

Somehow my car has 200 more miles on it now than when it went there though and half a tank less fuel. (I'm sure they had to "test drive" it to make sure the a/c was working properly....)

thats what pisses me off about shit, you know they prolly test drove it and drove the shit outta it, cuz its turbo.

shoulda made them sign an agreement saying that the mileage better not change
