The plastic appears to be painted gloss black. Given that, is the plastic polish still the right stuff to use?

McGuires plastic polish should get them back to new condition pretty easily, as long as they aren't cracked.

I painted mine with some high-end ppg metallic black. Looks very nice.

There are two nuts that hold these things on from the backside. If they are loose you need to pull the trim off the inside and retighten them. Its quite a bit of work as the seat belt guide and other stuff needs to come off as well.

I don't know if the stud is broke or what but my pass side one flops in the wind like crazy on the highway. I'm worried that one time it will actually fly off. I definately need to get around to buying some new ones.

Just dropped mine off at the paint shop friday with the side moldings, can't wait to see how they turn out.

there are 2 studs and a clip in the middle. Clip usualy falls apart, and the part itself will eventually start to crack down the center.
