Piston slap is the sounds of the piston skirt slapping the side of the cylinder wall when moving up and/or down. It's caused by the cylinder walls being slightly oversized for the piston inside. It's much more noticeable on a cold engine because as the engine warms up the piston has a tendency to expand and the fit in the cylinder is better. It can sound very similar to rod knock.

Wow... Maybe that's it? Idk I'm just ettin excited now cause that very well could be it... But idk if I should be getting excited cause idk if Thats alright or not.. Lol

I did hone my cylinders, so I obviously took some away makin it slightly bigger. So do you think its that? Stock piston size.

Is that bad for the pistons / cylinders? Can I get away with it for a lil bit if it is?

And how would you go about figuring if it's this or RK?

Idk wat the hell happened.. But I cnt do anything now.

Furthermore, I am not trying to insult you, but you replaced all the bearings. If you do in fact have rod knock (which hasn't been confirmed), its because you did something wrong when rebuilding. Considering you dont know whats wrong, taking it apart again and trying to make it make 500+ hp is the last thing you should be trying.

how do you know what to do and check for if you don't know what you did wrong in the first place?
.

I guess u got me there. Lol but Idc it's still fun to rebuild motors. And I'll have a better chance of not having rod knock if rebuild it rather than leaving it sit... Lol.

I'll just be more careful I guess...

then the second time around do everything carefully, take your time, and do a lot of research... especially if you want higher hp #'s...
dont overlook anything and dont skimp out on anything.

Your link wasn't working for me, so I modified it for simplicity for other users ;)

I'd double check all your bolts mentioned already as well as the cam gear bolts. What RPM were you running that at? How warm was the engine? Does it make the same noises at half or twice the rpm it was running in the video?

Ya I was gunna say that the video was when i started it up, so it was at around 2100ish rpm.

So it was a cold engine and that's the only rpm that I've noticed it at so far..
