Rod Knock for the win

Yes but rod knock does mean rebuild which is $$$$$.

Its a 20 y/o supra.....everything involves $$$$$$$$$$$$$ lol (i get your point though)

question, did you ever pull the engine and confirm this was rodknock?
i just picked up a 89 turbo a/t and its got a high idle just like yours with some type of knocking noise, but i really dont think its rodknock.

^^, i would check the turbo and pull the oil pan off to check the stuff out, also i just my supra running i can try to pass by sometime

Aight well it's not rod knock, it's got something to do wit the auto trans. Oh well time for 5 spd swap
