So here's my question. From searching around I've found that you add the number at the bottom of the connecting rod and the number on the crank and depending on that number (the sum of the other two), you order that bearing from Toyota and it's supposed to be sized specifically for that rod/crank.
Is there a sizable difference between these bearings and aftermarket ones like Clevites? As in can I pick up standard sized Clevite or equivalent and be alright?
Reason I ask is that Toyota bearings are more than double the price of equivalent Clevites and from what I've read Clevites are good bearings. I'm just worried on the fact that there's 6 sizes of Toyota bearings and just standard from Clevite.
Think Id be alright using a standard Clevite set?
