Nice to see another local guy on here. I haven't seen you in person driving around yet. The build looks good, although i'm dumbfounded why you could not find the bolts to mount the block to an engine stand easily. I took maybe 10 mins finding mine at the time (gr.12 fasteners ;)).
Good luck, and I hope to see it in person sometime.
Where in T.O are you?

WhtMa71:
Thanks, im still looking for cams vs a bigger turbo, maybe ill go for both, who knows till i finish most of the build.

Guyana00:
i havent been to the meets yet, been busy fixing my car.

92nsx:
i have seen smaller cams, was regrinds 254? or something by ted or toda, (Something like that)
it states it has gains over to 7k but after that it loses power, while the Mine's ecu cuts the rev to about 8k-9k+ iirc.

i dont know what else im looking at, if i get a bigger turbo ill need a walbro, lex and 550 plus tuning.

i also ordered from DM:
arp rod bolts
arp flywheel bolts
new timing idler
engine gasket set

My new goals are:
GReddy 20G turbo or ct26(57trim)
BC 264 or regrind cams

im hoping everything will be done before december or the middle of december.

Project 1 - currently still sanding my white bumper (almost there, i had to bondo parts and needed to fill holes, you will see why later when its done)

Project 2 - building my bottom end 7mgte. going to be all stock bottom end with BC 264 or regrinds.

Project 3 - hooking up a GReddy catch can, just looking for -8ans hose (1/2) so i can tee it off at the throttle and intake.

List:
Spearco style intercooler $160
BC cams or regrinds - $200 - 700
Paint - $100
Transmission fluid change (mt90) - $80
Brake rotor and pads - $120
Drill holes on pedals for MOMO pedals - Free
Side Skirts - $150

TOTAL:
$610 without Cams

Not sure if i should get a bigger turbo, i want to see what i am pulling first. if i am at the 300 range without cams yet, i will only get cams.

Looks good! you don't need cams to get 400rwhp... installing cams will change the entire profile of the motor so if you do make sure you do your homework.

Good luck with the build

lookin good.

where did you get the brake set-up?

i got it on supraforums, through a guy. it was 100 for a front setup. i got drilled roters through a guy on ebay (yes ebay) but it had warranty (tutuauto) wouldent recommend the pads, but it comes free. anyways i got it for my tsx for $175cad around 160usd? but they come with warranty and everything so i went this way and tried for the tsx.

paradox616-Thanks, about the cams, im not going to go with bigger cams, iv changed my mod sheet, just havent posted it up yet.

anyways.....i found out a few houses away theres a white pre 89 supra!! and the guy just got it. so the mechanic said the car will be done by next week. this weekend im going to be helping out with the swap, hope everything goes well!!

just my word of advice, i'd really figure out the turbo your going to go with, and stick to it or else you will be like me and build an engine to support a gt-45 turbo and then end up noticing your goals are just way to rediculous for your budget then you will find yourself selling parts that you just bought, but yet in the end im happy because i know my engine could support a gt-45 even though im only running a simple t-70 :p and even though im still building mine and went from 550cc inj. lex afm dual walbro, to 880cc inj. full areomotive setup and a1000 pump and just rediculous everything i know ill be safe, but i also messed up by not just getting a stand alone right away lol. i will say now turbo and standalone. or in your case mines ecu. would be the most expensive things on my list of parts i've gotten so far. but personally dont waste your money on looks, get to your goal, make it work. then work on the other aspects, safety/suspension/looks.. but looks good so far, hope you dont get pulled over like i did for the tinted tail lights lol. i got busted almost everyday when i was in high school for them.

Thanks everyone, especially on the advice. anyways last two weeks were painful for me, but i have learned alot of stuff about the supra.
so today i put back the exhaust and everything else, first run, leaked oil and fuel!!
oil was leaking under the oil filter housing, the plate, and fuel was leaking because i used a metal washer instead of copper
took about an hour to fix everything, double checked and started the second time. everything checked out runs good
but the alternator went out on me, so tomorrow im going to change the alternator and i can start driving again!!

CLIFFS: has oil and fuel leak, fixed it up and its running again, but gotta replace the alternator

here are some pictures of the process of the swap.
