I have come to the conclusion that RPF1s, Kosei K1 TS', and TE37s are quite possibly the best wheels to use. They are all some of the lightest 16/17" (Kosei K1s dont come in 16s) you can get, as well as very nicely styled--in fact, the only car I've seen TE37s on that I didnt like was the C5.

I've been reading about wheels and learned there are a couple of different ways they are made. You can get cast wheels or forged. There is low pressure (OE wheels) and high pressure casting (rivals forging). But the ultimate in strength and light weight, forged is the way to go.

However, in most forged wheels the final design is machined into the face using CNC mills. Which can create interruptions in the grain of the alloy and reduce its strength.

Then there is mold forging which I read is very difficult, very expensive and very few companies can do it.

Well which is better, Cast or Forged. I'm thinking Cast.

I think they're 1 pieces and the website talks a lot about being cast and nothing about forging.. also I think buying forged wheels would be very very expensive.. but idk for sure.

Does Enkei make any 2 or 3 piece forged rims? I looked a lot. Been looking for the past few days b/c I didn't wanna bother you guys with a question that I can find the answer to on google. Who does make 3 piece forged street car rims?

If you're not looking to spend too much, check for a car with the similar bolt pattern that's common. This search led me to Mustang rims. The offset is nice (sticks out a little more than stock but not enough to be dumb looking or rub) and if you look around you can find them cheap. I found 4 17" chrome Cobra R's on Craigslist for $200. Can't beat the price.

Yeah they have multi piece rims. They are a lot more though.

I have the fronts right now in black with the machined lip and they look great, I just ordered the rears. The fronts are 17X8 +35 the rears are 17x10+35. I can't wait till the rears come in, my car looks funky with chrome TT rims in the back with these up front.

just wanna add that with multi-piece wheels, one part gets damaged, instead of replacing the whole wheel, you just hit up the manufacture for a replacement part. im sure it wont be cheap, but cheaper then buying a new rim
