Rim and tire sizes

I was looking at a set of rims for my 87 online and found a set I like. The spreadsheet that shows what cars these rims fit on say they work on the mk3 supras. Their measurments are 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in back. Would these sizes give me any trouble with fitting into the wheel wells and/or any rubbing? Also, what size tires would I need to get to fit on these rims?

Thanks

I heard that was a million page thread somewhere on this forum that has tons of different wheel/tire setups on mk3 supras. I bet you could find the info in there.

official wheel fitment thread. ^^^^ bor hor knows it all. you cant just decided if a 18x? wheel is gonna fit. you need to know more about the wheel. i just got my wheels /tires in too, 18x8.5 +32 18x9.5 +35 and 285/30-18 225/40-18. the official wheel fitment thread will help you out.

I am no wheel expert and only somewhat know how all of the numbers will effect the fitting of the wheels. Can anyone tell me if this set will fit allright? thank you for all your help.

what will these front tire sizes affect since they are supposedly 235/40/18 and not the 245/40/18? Thank you for all your help, I just dont want something to not work and be out quite a bit of money.

How is the offset of +40 in both the front and rear going to affect the fitting of the rim? will there be a lot outer rim showing, so much as if I was lowering the car 1.5 inches it would be a problem?

Thank you for helping with all of the questions

I think it is a sticky on the top of this section. OH and I think it is in my sig too ;)

I read thur that thread but i am still confused on tire sizing... I am picking up 17x8 +35 for all four and the store told me 245/45/17 on rear and 225/45/17 on front but they dont do much with tuner and i have seen some civics come out of that shop looking shitty so i dont what him giving me rice advise. Will these work and look nice not stick out and look bad like a 16 years' Ford focus on 20's

they recommended the bigger size tire in the rear so you have more rubber coming in contact with the ground. this will give you better traction.
the only problem is that you wont be able to rotate your tires

I C . but will those fit flush like i dont want to that weird look where the tire kinda overhangs on the wheel. i want them to be level
