Im about to purchase some custom wheels.

Im wondering if 17x8 245/45/17 with a +40MM offset,
will give at least 1" of lip. They are 3 Piece Rims.
They are identical to the old BBS Rims

Im looking for this similar look.
I like the amount of Lip shown on the rears.
The Front ones are nice as well

Thanks

Hah, My wheels.

Its basically impossible to find BBS RS's. They are One, Old, And 2, had to be imported to the USA.

I just took this picture yesterday, Just for the lip.

Im not sure what the Offset is, I forgot, Everyone always asks, I can take a center cap off after work and I'll let you know

I decided on a +35MM Offset. What size tires are those?

+35 will look good but you will be disappointed you went with 8in wide rims later as your options are limited

Is 245/45/17 not a good choice? It seemed perfect seen the same type of tire and wheel combo on a S13 180SX

245 is fine if thats all you want, but most people here that want some traction(and sweet intimidating looks) go quite a bit wider.

the 240/180 is quite smaller than the supra too, and the supra usually makes way more power!
wider tires are needed.

Regardless I can see the look in my head. Besides I don't want to go to wide with 17x9. I guess its boils down to what you want and are looking for and I'm only going for 290-320hp

275/35 rears, 245/40's rear. 320 is more than you think for a turbo car and a 6 cycl from the 180/240 crew. your gonna want more meat... trust me

The car will sometimes be driven on the circuit, and I'm not a big fan of 1/4 Racing.
So don't you think 17x8 is a better choice vs 17x9.?

18x8 front 18x9.5 rear is what im planning to go with... id like to atleast have 265-275 mm of meat out back... I hear about these guys w/upgrades not getting traction in 2-3-4 gear... i have the feeling im gonna need it when i finally get mine on the road someday :(
