I have Tein Flex Masters all around, with the stiffness set to maximum and only my right rear tire is rubbing. Anybody have any ideas as to what could cause this? BTW, my rear wheels have about 1" of clearance between the tire and the wheel well.

Flexes are just not stiff enough to hold it up when you hit a bump. Unless your rear tire can tuck in when it is compressed I don't see much that you can do.

If it's rubbing on the outer wheel arches (you aren't clear on where the tires are making contact) you can roll the fenders and create a little more clearance.

Probably be enough to keep it from rubbing.

Boris, that's what I though. So if I subtracted 10 from the offset, how would that work? That would take the wheels into the fender well 10mm correct?

I'm not rolling the fenders. If I widen the fenders, I'm getting the Savage kit.

rolling does not widen. it just folds the lip in so it adds a little more clearance. To make the rim go in you need to add to the offset which can't do much about.

If you do it right, and if your wheels weren't sticking out so far, rolling doesn't look bad at all, unless you over do it. Whereas most widebody's look like shit. Not only that, most of them are installed poorly (and not just on supras). I wish I had a nickle for every falling apart, ratty looking body kit I've seen.

I would have checked fitment before I bought the wheels. You've got plenty of people like BorHor that could have sorted it out for you.

Boris said "should fit nicely" in the wheels fitment thread. Suprabad, have you seen the Savage kit? If not, here's the link to the pics. Tekdeus is using the Kaze kit for his widebody. Both follow the lines very nicely and blend in well.

I remember the thread. And yes, they look great in the pictures. I can tell by looking at the raw kit that it's going to be a ton of work to get it looking really right.

My advice would be to make sure you're in love with it before you do it.

You never did mention exactly where the rear tire is making contact. I'll say it again: If it's rubbing just a little on the fender arch, you could roll it just a little and you won't be able to see it at all.:icon_bigg

It's rubbing on the outer edge of the tire, the part that sticks out the body. It is actually cutting my tire. As far as the body kit goes, I'm not afraid of a lot of work to get something to look right. Hell, just look at my Turbo-A duct that I'm installing right now (see build thread). The amount of time spent is always worth it if the end result is an awesome look.
