All it takes is one serious unfortunate accident to initiate a cascade of events: one racer makes an error resulting in serious accident and fatality for them and the passenger; grieving and woefully distraught parent; media blitz about the event; significant lawsuit to the local PD and city for not doing much for prevention; etc.....

Take it to the track peop's.

I'm certainly not saying street racing is a good idea or should be legal, I'm just saying the issue is getting blown out of the water and the police and government is going about things all wrong and making stupid assumptions. Like all the street racers have stolen engines and crap and yet out of all of those cars they didn't find one stolen engine, sure some jackasses steal stuff but that's a definite minority and they treat them like they're all thieves. The police/government must be using the fast and the furious as an educational video.

They should be building tracks like any other recreational facility like stadiums or soccer fields. But that isn't the case; the closest strip to me is hours away.

same here bro no track in ct hours in both directions nj or nh :3d_frown:

Think of the massive amount of taxpayer funds that went into that pathetic bust. Choppers are expensive to fly and should be used only for real crimes. How many officers were not on the street so they could set up this bust? I bet the cost to replace those windows was more than they got from the tickets. This was an obvious publicity stunt to boost the image of the ineffective police forces. Bust a gang, rapist, or killer and make the streets safer. After thats accomplished, then crack down on ricers.

exactly how much gang activity went on while the police were sittin in that warehouse how many people got raped or killed in the hours they were worried about a little weed and a bottle of schnapps and no stolen part anywhere to be found.

Thats funny. That bust is from 2004. I had many friends who were actually there. As it even says in the video, they checked tons of cars and spent like 3 to 4 hours and were able to charge only a small fraction. That same street is still one of the main spots to go racing even these days... A lot of good that bust did. Now when cops come to bust the place they simply tell everyone to leave and don't give anyone trouble unless they witness them racing, burning out, etc.
