1. Replace the headgasket with an OEM Toyota gasket.
2. Use ARP Head Bolts or Studs/Nuts
3. Torque to 75 ft-lbs
4. Flush the cooling and oil systems thoroughly after completing the job. You want to clean out contaminated fluids as best you can.
Hello.. Brand Newbie here. i have had a 1991 MkIII Supra 7MGTE since 1994, the same one. this is exactly what i just did with mine. through Japanese Auto Masters in VA Beach. i originally asked for a metal head gasket. they contacted several places about it and did find out that the head and the block needs to be machined with a very specific finish in order for the metal head gasket to work right.. so i went ahead and got an OEM Gasket and they replaced the stock head bolts with ARP Head Studs and Flushed everything..
im in process of restoring my supra back to 100% i dont want mega horsepower. just bringing back the Beauty and Grace ive always known this car to be.
