ok stupid question here, but what are the two smaller fans to the left of my main fan?

The tsrm calls them condenser fans 1 & 2. Seems backwards seeing how the condenser fan is in front of the Radiator (Front of car) not behind. On a side note only the Automatic Transmission cars have the 3rd fan in the front. You would think all the cars would have the condenser fan in the front and eliminate the two side ones. Those same condenser fans due fire up if the coolant temp goes over 215 degrees.

Why not wire it to a temp sensor. then you won't need a toggle switch or have to pay sucj close attention to your cooling system.

They ALREADY come on if it gets to hot.

They come on in a few different cases, mainly for the A/C, but if the car gets too hot they come on too.

Personally, I see no reason to add the switch, if those fans are coming on all the time, you have bigger issues that need to be resolved before you get a BHG...

read the thread title that was definetly about a manual switch for electric fans with no temp sensors. not stock fans or condensor fans. the mod in question had a toggle switch that HAD to be switched when the car got to temprature.

Manual Fan switch install what do you think? Just added a manual fan switch for the condenser fans. How does it look? Personally I am trying to keep everything stock and I really do not like it. Any suggestions or pics would be appreciated.

The thread was about what?

Whoa everyone breath. Let me clear things up before some of you go fist to cuffs.

I added a manual switch to the condenser fan circuit because my high pressure switch on the AC does not work. When I went to the ac shop the labor alone for reclaiming, vacuum, replacing the switch and recharging it was over $250. Other than the high pressure switch my r12 system works great. Besides that I am new to the Supra and we all got to start somewhere with our mods.

I tested my high temp switch on the thermostat housing and it works fine. The coolant temp stays steady and does not go above the 215F at which point the condenser fans would turn on according to the tsrm.

Please stop wishing the BHG gremlins on me:biglaugh:
